Draw About It:
A great way for a young child to express their feelings is through art. Allow your child to draw a picture of themselves on the first day of school. Is your child happy or sad in the picture? Talk about it with your child. Post their artwork in a place where it is visible for all to see.
School Visit:
If it is possible, try to take your child to the school to visit. Walk around the building so your child gets acquainted with the location of the classroom, bathroom, and office. Knowing the lay of the land will build your child's confidence as they begin kindergarten.
